THE SHORT VERSION
- Bedz runs on your PC. Your code and your work are never sent to us.
- The website keeps only what you choose to give it: your email if you sign up, and a comment if you post one.
- We don't sell your data, and the website has no ads or advertising trackers.
- No tracking, except anonymous site statistics: how many visits, which website or link sent them, which version of a page was shown, and how far visitors get. No cookies, no ad trackers, and nothing that identifies you.
The website (VJK.com)
- No tracking, except anonymous site statistics. To learn which posts bring visitors and which version of a page works better, the website (and bedz.app) counts:
- visits: which page, which website sent you (just its name, like news.ycombinator.com) or which of our campaign links you used, and phone or computer;
- which version of a page you were shown, when we test two wordings or designs against each other (you keep seeing the same version);
- a few milestones: entering the experience, how far you got, clicking a buy or download button, signing up. If you buy, the checkout link carries the same anonymous details so a sale can be credited to the right version and source.
- "Ring me" sign-ups. If you give us your email, we store it with our email service, Resend, to tell you about the launch and Bedz news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Comms log comments. If you post a comment, we store your optional name and message so we can review it. Only approved comments are shown. To limit spam, we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your internet address, never the address itself. Comments are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as internet address and browser type) for security and reliability.
- Outside services the page loads. The 3D engine is loaded from Babylon.js's servers and some pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website, those services see your internet address when your browser fetches the files.
- Your browser's own storage. The site remembers small settings on your device, like day/night mode and 3D quality. These stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
- Buying. Payments are handled by our checkout provider. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email and what you bought so we can deliver it and help you.
The Bedz app
- It runs on your computer. Your projects, code and test sessions stay on your PC.
- Your BedWire is your own private GitHub repository. The requests and fixes you send, and screenshots you choose to attach, go there, between you and your AI. We have no access to it.
- Your GitHub key (if you use one) is stored encrypted with your Windows account on your PC. It is never put in the repository and never sent to us.
- Your AI. Bedz never types into, clicks, or reads your AI's chat window. You talk to your AI yourself, and it reaches your BedWire through its own official GitHub connection. Your AI provider's privacy policy covers what you send it.
- No tracking. Bedz does not send us usage analytics.
- Cancelled keys. Once a day Bedz downloads a short public list of licence keys that were cancelled for being shared, so it can check yours on your own PC. Nothing about you or your key is sent; it is a plain download, like opening a web page.
Your choices
You can ask us to see or delete anything we hold about you (your sign-up email, a comment, or your purchase record, which we may need to keep for tax law). Write to vincent.j.kessler@gmail.com.
Children
VJK.com and Bedz are not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
